Supporting Your Journey to Motherhood - Naturally & Alongside Your Medical Team
You've Been Trying. You've Been Waiting. You're Ready for Something That Works With Your Body.
Maybe you've been trying to conceive for months or years. Maybe your cycles are unpredictable. Maybe your doctor said "unexplained infertility" and you walked out feeling more lost than when you walked in. Maybe you're preparing for IVF and want to give it every possible chance. Maybe you've had a loss, and you're scared to hope again.
You've tracked your cycles. You've taken the supplements. You've cut the caffeine. And you're exhausted from the weight of it all.
You don't have to do this alone.
At Lighthouse Acupuncture & Wellness Center in Jupiter, we work with women across Palm Beach County to support natural conception, improve reproductive health, and enhance the success of IVF, and IUI.
Female Fertility Conditions We Support
Our fertility care is tailored to your specific diagnosis and cycle. We commonly work with women experiencing:
Not sure if your situation fits? That's what your consultation is for.
Our Approach Is Different
Fertility is not a single moment. It's a cycle — and your body changes every single week of that cycle.
That's why our treatments change with you.
We don't give every patient the same protocol. Your acupuncture points, your herbal formulas, and your nervous system support are adjusted across each phase of your menstrual cycle:
• Menstrual phase — supporting a clean, complete shed and healthy circulation
• Follicular phase — building quality egg development and follicular growth
• Ovulation — supporting the release and the luteal handoff
• Luteal phase — strengthening the uterine lining, calming the nervous system, supporting implantation
This is how traditional Chinese medicine has supported fertility for centuries and it's backed by a growing body of modern research on acupuncture, IVF outcomes, and reproductive hormone regulation.
What East Meets West Looks Like at Lighthouse
We work with your OB-GYN and Reproductive Endocrinologist — not instead of them. Many of our patients come to us already in IVF cycles. Others are trying naturally and want every advantage.
Our clinic combines:
• Acupuncture — cycle-specific protocols, pre and post-transfer support and stress regulation to calm the hormonal disruption that often sits at the root of fertility challenges
• Chinese herbal medicine — carefully matched to your phase and diagnosis
• ATP Resonance BioTherapy® — advanced bioenergetic support
• Cycle tracking & hormonal pattern analysis — we look at what your cycle is actually telling us about your hormones, beyond what standard labs show
• Nutritional and lifestyle guidance — specific to your cycle and diagnosis, not generic
How Acupuncture Supports Female Fertility
A growing body of research shows that acupuncture can:
• Improve blood flow to the ovaries and uterus
• Support thicker, healthier uterine lining for implantation
• Regulate reproductive hormones - FSH, LH, estrogen, progesterone
• Support ovarian function and egg quality over time
• Reduce uterine contractions after embryo transfer
• Calm the nervous system - lowering the stress response that disrupts ovulation and implantation
• Reduce side effects of fertility medications
• Support the immune factors involved in implantation and early pregnancy
The body's reproductive cycle takes approximately 90 days for an egg to fully mature. That's why we generally recommend starting acupuncture at least three months before a planned IVF cycle, IUI, or conception attempt — to give your body time to build the foundation.
How We Approach the Most Common Fertility Diagnoses
PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome)
PCOS is one of the most common causes of infertility — and one of the most responsive to Chinese medicine. We work on regulating cycles, supporting ovulation, managing insulin resistance, and calming the underlying inflammation. Most PCOS patients see cycle changes within 2–3 months.
Endometriosis
Endometriosis creates inflammation, pain, and scar tissue that can make conception and implantation difficult. Our approach focuses on circulation, inflammation, and the nervous system dysregulation that often accompanies endo. We work alongside your OB-GYN's treatment plan.
Low AMH & Diminished Ovarian Reserve
AMH is a number but it's not your whole story. While we can't change the number of eggs you have, we can meaningfully support the quality of the eggs you're working with. Three months of cycle-based treatment before IVF has been shown in research to support better outcomes for women with low ovarian reserve.
Unexplained Infertility
"Unexplained" often means Western diagnostics have ruled out the obvious but your body is still communicating that something is off. Chinese medicine looks at patterns Western tests don't screen for: circulation, nervous system regulation, digestive function, subtle hormonal timing. Many "unexplained" cases respond very well to this approach.
Recurrent Pregnancy Loss
There are few things harder than losing a pregnancy, especially more than once. Our approach focuses on supporting the luteal phase, uterine lining quality, circulation, and the immune and nervous system factors that play into miscarriage risk. We work carefully with your RE or OB-GYN throughout.
Acupuncture for IVF & IUI Support
If you're preparing for IVF, IUI, or a frozen embryo transfer, acupuncture can meaningfully support each phase.
Before your cycle (ideally 3 months out): We focus on egg quality, cycle regulation, uterine lining preparation, and nervous system support.
During stimulation: We support ovarian response, reduce side effects of medications, and keep your body in a calm, receptive state.
Around egg retrieval: We support recovery, circulation, and preparation for transfer.
Before and after embryo transfer: Research has shown acupuncture performed around the time of transfer may improve outcomes. We offer pre- and post-transfer sessions timed to your clinic's schedule.
Throughout your pregnancy: If you become pregnant, we continue to support you through your pregnancy because our end goal is not just to get your pregnant, but for a healthy baby at the end of 9 months. — calming the nervous system, managing nausea and fatigue, supporting a stable pregnancy.
We coordinate with your fertility clinic. If your RE has specific guidance, we work within it.
Fertility Is a Two-Person Journey
About one-third of infertility cases involve male factors alone, and another third involve both partners.
If you're trying to conceive as a couple, treating only one partner often misses half the picture.
We work with men on sperm count, motility, morphology, hormonal balance, and the lifestyle factors that affect fertility.
Our Little Miracle!
“After years of irregular cycles and being told my only option was IVF, I walked into Lighthouse feeling pretty skeptical. I'd been on and off medication for PCOS since I was twenty-one and nothing had ever really worked.
Dr. Lisa took the time to understand what I was going through and connected a lot of dots for me.
Within four months my cycles were regular. Within six, I was pregnant! I never thought I would get pregnant naturally but here we are today with our little miracle!”

Common Questions About Female Fertility Acupuncture
How long before I'll know if it's working?
Most women notice changes in their cycles — regularity, flow, PMS, energy, sleep — within the first 1–3 cycles. Conception timelines vary based on age, diagnosis, and whether you're trying naturally or with IVF. We generally recommend planning for at least 3-6 months of consistent treatment before conception or an IVF transfer.
How often will I come in?
Most fertility patients are seen two to three times a week, with frequency adjusting around key cycle days (ovulation, transfer, etc.). We'll map out a plan specific to you at your initial consultation.
Can I do acupuncture while I'm already in an IVF cycle?
Yes. Many of our patients start acupuncture mid-cycle. Starting earlier is ideal, but meaningful support is possible at any stage, including the week of transfer.
Is acupuncture safe during pregnancy?
Yes - when performed by a licensed, trained practitioner. Acupuncture during pregnancy can help with nausea, fatigue, anxiety, sleep, headaches, and overall stability, especially in the first trimester. We use point selections specifically appropriate for pregnancy.
Does insurance cover fertility acupuncture?
Does insurance cover fertility acupuncture?
Some plans cover acupuncture. We recommend calling your insurance company and asking about coverage. We provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement.
Do you work with my fertility clinic?
Yes. We coordinate with your OB-GYN, Reproductive Endocrinologist, and fertility clinic to make sure our care complements your medical plan.
What about Chinese herbs during IVF?
Herbal medicine is powerful — and requires expertise. Some herbs are not appropriate during active medication cycles. A trained practitioner knows when to use them and when to hold them. We adjust your herbal plan based on what phase of IVF you're in.
I have "unexplained infertility." Can acupuncture really help?
This is one of the most common reasons patients come to us. "Unexplained" often means Western medicine has ruled out obvious causes — but your body is still communicating that something is off. Many "unexplained" cases respond very well to Chinese medicine.
I'm in my 40s. Is it too late?
No. While fertility does decline with age, women in their 40s can and do conceive and acupuncture supports egg quality, uterine lining, and cycle regulation at any age. We've worked with patients across a wide range of ages.
