We had the pleasure of interviewing our lovely patient, Beth K, today at the clinic. Beth was suffering from Chemo-Induced Peripheral Neuropathy prior to coming to Lighthouse Acupuncture and Wellness Center of Jupiter. After her course of treatment with us, she has made remarkable improvements in managing her symptoms and reducing her pain. Join us as we have a conversation with her.

What brought you in to Lighthouse Acupuncture and Wellness Center of Jupiter?

One of the things that brought me to Lighthouse Acupuncture was I was really impressed with Dr Lisa's credentials; her educational credentials and preparation for what she does is very impressive. Not to mention that Dr Lisa is a good listener. If I have something to say to her, she's actively listening. I never have the feeling that she's waiting to see the next person. I always feel in the moment with her.

What brought you in for treatment?

Before acupuncture I was experiencing chemo-induced neuropathy. One of the worst things was standing still: I would feel like something hot was running down my legs… my feet were very painful; wearing shoes was really a problem. So, I was prompted to try acupuncture for relief.

Did your treatments help you?

It definitely stopped the hot liquid feeling running down my legs, so that is gone and has not returned in any form, and I continue to improve with my feet. We're making progress and I am able to wear shoes that I was not able to wear before.

Does acupuncture hurt?

Acupuncture has been painless for me and Dr Lisa's instructions while she's placing the needles is also very helpful.

What advice would you give others?

What I would tell people is don't delay. I know with neuropathy I was told that there's no cure for neuropathy which is true but neuropathy can be managed and should be managed. So if I were to give advice to anyone whether it's neuropathy or any other condition is: act sooner rather than later so you can get the best benefit

Do you enjoy coming to Lighthouse AWC?

Absolutely. Absolutely. It's a lovely place to come, I think. Lighthouse Acupuncture has been very special in my life

How do you feel after treatment?

When I walk out, I feel uplifted. I feel happy that I've been here and look forward to seeing whatever improvement I might enjoy before my next treatment so I can come back and tell Dr Lisa what Lighthouse Acupuncture has done for me.
